High Point to see a new hosiery mill early next spring with a $35 000 capital and active involvement by Charles Ames and Robert Ames of Ames Furniture. They will not retire from the furniture business as Robert devotes time to hosiery while Charles manages the furniture concern. Construction on the hosiery factory will begin after Christmas, production to start by April 1, and a large workforce expected.
