The Guilford County Board of Education approved a policy to allow community groups to run basketball programs at local schools. Howard Carr opposed a provision requiring the system to cover utilities from tax funds. The plan estimates about 2000 dollars total cost and offers two funding options including a per use fee or split donations to schools. Programs will apply to eight basketball initiatives across nine schools including Jamestown Junior High Colfax and Jamestown Elementary.
