Assault Renewed On Green Berets Near Cambodian Border

Communist gunners renewed the attack on a Green Beret camp 80 miles north of Saigon near the Cambodian border. Eight Special Forces troopers were wounded in the first of two mortar barrages at Bu Dop. The fighting followed a two day lull as North Vietnamese forces shelled U S Army positions while reinforcements arrived. Reservists Ordered To Active Duty Over Training Lapses

About 7 650 reservists who failed to meet training obligations are ordered to active duty or soon will be the Army said Another 3 093 are undergoing screening for possible callup The action follows a McNamara February directive and up to 7 000 more remain eligible for two years of duty The Army notes totals are far below earlier projections and stresses units within 100 miles must be joined when available.
