Defendant Bound Over to Superior Court After Admitting to Robbery
A Saturday robbery led Judge Archie Myatt to bind over 28 year old Leon Suggs of 306 S Hamilton St to Superior Court after Suggs admitted the robbery of Thomas B McCoy and his watch plus $11. McCoy testified Suggs and a second man planned to buy beer and go for girls before the crime. Also bound over was Henry McClinton 37 accused of breaking and entering larceny and receiving, with clothing stolen from a Negro woman's apartment. Lee McDowell 61 was found not guilty of assaulting McClinton. Richard Lamar Peacock 40 of Atlanta was fined 100 dollars for driving drunk and forbidden to drive for 12 months. Bolen Alven Young 35 had charges of driving with revoked license. 200 dollars fine and license revocation for two years. An appeal was taken in a case against H L McGarr 41. Bessie McRae 52 found guilty of violating prohibition and fined 25 dollars plus costs with a four month suspended sentence.
