Police report weekend arrests and a home burglary
Andrew Mack 46 of Daniel Brooks Apartments was arrested after allegedly shooting John William Lewis in the left thigh with a .22 pistol. Mack is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with bond set at 300 dollars and faces a larceny count for taking the pistol. Patricia Earnhart 20 of Boyer Street was arrested for hitting her husband with a rock. Linda Dunlap Dunlap 22 of Ennis Street faces two assault with a deadly weapon charges after attacks on her husband and another man with a knife. Jessie Hall 46 of Kennedy Street is charged with assault with a deadly weapon after a razor chase with Jeff Wilson. Guilford County deputies investigate a break in at David Prevo’s Wiley Davis Road home where $500 of living room furniture was stolen. Deputies also probe a larceny at Telco Corp involving water pipes and a stolen water pump from under a house on Alfred Drive.

Governor Scott seeks delay in desegregation order

Thomasville man Don P Hill 22 is jailed on a murder charge after Clyde T Everhart 28 was found shot at the Hill home on Gordontown Road. Everhart died from a stomach wound while visiting, Hill to have a preliminary hearing in Davidson County Court Lexington. Burial for Everhart set at Pierce's Chapel Primitive Baptist Cemetery with services Tuesday.

Three Arrested At Ku Klux Klan Rally Near Rocky Mount
In Edgecombe County near Rocky Mount, three men Donald Morell Cecil Poole and Michael Smith were charged with illegal possession of firearms at a Ku Klux Klan rally Saturday night. Deputies reported a high powered rifle a .22 rifle and a 12 gauge shotgun were seized. A protest led by Golden Frinks of the S C L C drew about 100 people to the site.

Multiple NC car crashes claim eight lives across counties
A deadly string of crashes on Gaston Street and NC 90 near Lenoir left Jerry Eugene Pressnell, 27, of Banner Elk dead after his car veered off the road and overturned following a rear impact. Norman Clark, 47, of Laurel Hill died when his car left the road on a curve and rolled during a police pursuit in Robeson County. A 75 year old Madison woman, Mary Ann Bullins, died near Dodgetown in Stokes County when struck by a vehicle.
