Carson's Opens 2 Upholstered Furniture Plants in South

City May Get New Air Service
Washington High Point could win the first single carrier air service to California and the Southwest if the Civil Aeronautics Board approves Eastern Air Lines Southern Transcontinental Route. Capt Eddie Rickenbaker testified the route would link 67 cities across the South and West with direct High Point to Atlanta flights and through jet service to major West Coast destinations.
