Mrs J R Bowman hosted the Friendly Garden Club at her Hayworth Springs road home on a Wednesday afternoon with seven members and two guests. The program featured a paper on growing hardy perennials from seed. Awards for flower arrangements went to Mrs Bowman for giant zinnias, Mrs W L Kivett for dwarf zinnias, and Mrs J W Kittle for a potted begonia.
