Spencer Shops Saved as Historic Rail Era Site
Dr. H G Jones urges preserving Spencer Shops as a state historic site to honor North Carolina railroad heritage. The 1977 General Assembly funded a master plan. plans include a transportation museum and a living museum concept managed by the Division of Archives and History.
