Project Aims To Track Sand Movement At Lockwood Folly
NCSU coastal engineering researchers led by Dr. Jerry Machemehl will color code and release 2 500 pounds of tracer sand in late August at Lockwood Folly Inlet Brunswick County to map sediment movement and tidal flow. Data will support erosion control and navigation projects.
