High Russian factory costs spark import pull despite local plants
Aug 15 Moscow. Production charges in many Russian plants have risen so high that the government may import certain manufactured goods rather than produce them locally. Harvesters from Germany or America could be cheaper than Russian plant output at the Rostevik run International Harvester near Moscow. The U S factory is efficient but costs double due to high raw material prices and Russia’s labor laws. A worker gets 25 percent extra pay during wife's pregnancy and full extra month at birth, with broader benefits for relatives in similar conditions. Average Russian daily pay is about 3.60 dollars, while five Russians under poorer conditions produce as much as two Americans with better machinery.

Julian C Scales and Wife Found Guilty

American Students Welcome in Sweden
