The sixteen year old Early Clodfelter died after a month long battle with typhoid fever. He passed away at his brother’s home in Mechanicsville and his body was sent to Midway for funeral services and burial. He had recently come to work in a local factory and resided with his brother. his home was near Midway, midway between Lexington and Winston.
