Army Private Pleads Guilty To Murder
Joseph Macavoy a 24 year old Army private from Brooklyn pleaded guilty in county court to first degree murder in the rape slaying of Anna Milroy 16 whose nude and battered body was found near Sutton. The state will seek the death penalty and Macavoy was sent to Lincoln for safekeeping. Milroy disappeared from Sutton the prior Saturday and was found Monday after Macavoy confessed to sheriff L D Menger.
