Solons' wall power fuels Sacramento baseball surge
The Sacramento Solons revived baseball in the city with a 40 foot left field wall at Hughes Stadium, producing record home run totals and top PCL attendance. Players and managers note the wall drives offense and crowds, while officials plan to move the fence back after 1975. The team, in last place, leads league in homers with 231 and averages 4,234 paid fans per game.
