Tragic Car Crash Ties East 62nd Victim to Van Dusen

Theart Liane and Mabel Mcelliott recount the shock of news as Mr James Van Dusen Robard of East 62nd Street dies in a Turnpike crash near Willow s Long Island. Police say a swerved car may have caused the collision. Robard had been returning from a farewell winer hosted by Mr and Mrs Richard Waite. Liane, shaken by the tale, wrestles with moral guilt and a choice to flee with Van before learning more about her parentage and Van’s adoption status. Clive consoles her, urging silence while she contends with fate and personal guilt.
