Out of town guests attended the Saturday 5 p.m. wedding of Kathryn Ann Byerly and Julian Bernard White Jr. at Emerywood Baptist Church. Program On Water System Planned For Library Visit
Children visiting the Washington Street Branch Library on Thursday afternoon will see a front end loader and back hoe and learn how High Point's Water Division provides water and wastewater service. The program covers reservoirs Oak Hollow and City Lake, pumping to a treatment plant, distribution via 400 miles of mains, and testing to state standards. The back hoe crew will discuss trenching for pipelines and the wastewater system including 350 miles of mains, 17 pump stations and two treatment plants with outflow to Deep River and Rich Creek.
