Hiatt Tire Company Opens New Service Station
The Hiatt Tire company announces the formal opening of its new service station at the corner of North Main and Thurston streets, opposite the Southern depot. Designed by Tyson Ferree, the modern facility offers fire and battery service along with filling station service. Garland Chappell, longtime manager, notes the company’s long history in High Point and Guilford County dating back to 1919. The firm remains a Goodyear tire dealer and Presto-o-Lite battery supplier.
