Armed officers guarded a Delaware county hospital today amid gangland attempts to finish the assassination of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Fontaine. She told police they would get her anyway and that they would come into the hospital to kill her. Police believe she knows too much about silk truck hijacking operations.
ST PAUL April 28 AP Indictments charging to harbor and conceal John Dillinger were returned by a federal grand jury here against four persons now held by the department of justice.
An alert issued after 10 a m today urged officers on a trunk highway north of Ping City to watch for a gray Ford V-8 sedan carrying two men, one believed to be Baby Face Nelson, a Dillinger gangster.
John J. McLaughlin Jr., son of a Chicago politician, was arrested on the Chicago Board of Trade floor by federal agents for alleged complicity in the kidnapping of Edward Bremer of St Paul.

Atlanta April 28 Josephus Daniels ambassador to Mexico returning home for a vacation says the United States faces three economic courses. He called for sticking with the new deal or risking a raw deal, and recounted a train conversation with a hardware merchant who reported an 8.8 percent sales rise. Daniels, former secretary of the navy, noted Roosevelt had training of his own.
