The Bremen crew laid wreaths on Floyd Bennett's grave in Washington and then departed at 1:05 p.m. by a special car attached to a Pennsylvania Railroad train for New York. Rain prevented their return by air, so they traveled by train as planned.

Winston-Salem April 28. County road supervisor W. E L. Kirkman and commissioners J. S. Patterson F. Nelson and J. C. Lovell were indicted by the Surry county grand jury on various charges. Kirkman faces embezzlement of 5000 dollars and misusing county property. the commissioners are accused of trading with themselves. Trials expected at the fall term.
Chilean ambassador to the United States Carlos Davila landed at Maxwell Field from New Orleans at 10 35 AM en route to Washington. After a brief rest he departed for Pope Field Fayetteville NC then Fort Bragg NC before continuing to Washington. Davila had traveled from Houston via New Orleans and Callender Field to begin the flight.
In Brussels on April 28 Baron Peter Wrangell, once a leader in the anti Bolshevik struggle, was laid to a temporary grave with his coffin draped in the Russian imperial colors. The body will later be moved to Belgrade.
