Big Legion Show Arrives In Town With Chautauqua
The National arrives early and sets up a large circus tent at College and English streets. Doors open 2 PM and 7 PM nightly, with band concerts before shows. The American Legion hosts chautauqua acts under the tent all week with 20 minute street parades and performances. Season tickets sold at nominal prices to support the legion and a good exhibition. They pursued 209 manuscripts. no prizes offered this year.

Collegiants Lose Out In Annual Essay Contest
Newton Mass April 24 Colle gians failed to win a first prize in the 1921 Pollak Foundation essay contest. A high school winner took the top prize and a college instructor was awarded another, but judges said no college essay deserved first prize. Beridge of Harvard earned the $1 000 top prize for Unemployment and the Business Cycle.

Hotel Arthur Opens In High Point After Bellevue Fire
The Hotel Arthur began operations yesterday on the Bellevue site after last Christmas fire damage. Proprietor C. P. W. Sullivan reports over twenty guests registered, with O A Kirkman as owner and Sullivan leasing to him. The three story brick hotel offers 30 rooms with steam heat, running water, and telephones. dining room serves club breakfasts, with 75 cent lunches and dinners. An auction of Greensboro road lots near J F and L O Wildtard is announced for April 29 with easy terms by J Sib.
