Rioting Rages at British Columbia Prison

More than 600 inmates at New Westminster’s maximum security prison riot early today after a night of violence in which a guard was held hostage. Police and RCMP used tear gas as 150 officers and many guards struggled to contain the insurgents, with three prisoners blamed for the hostage incident.
