Omission of statewide hunting license noted in bill
Raleigh April 12 The statewide hunting license provision costing 5.25 was omitted from the final game bill though in the original. Wade H. Phillips director of conservation says omission will not hardship anyone as few hunt in more than two or three counties. He adds statewide license would be cheaper for explorers of many counties but not feasible. Under current law residents pay 1.00 for a license plus 0.25 issuing fee. County commissioners may levy higher nonresident fees but must go to the state.
