Tour of Homes Planned in Elkin for May 1 Fundraiser
Ten private residences in Elkin will open May 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the 1974 Tour of Homes, a fundraiser by the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to buy equipment for the hospital and the Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Tickets are sold at the Elkin Public Library and at the homes. lunch is offered 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Chatham home lawn, with rain plan moving lunch to the First United Methodist Church. A doll collection spanning three centuries will be featured at the Harrell guest house.
