Play program aids healing in NC Memorial Hospital pediatrics
Kathryn Pritchard at UNC Memorial Hospital coordinates a pediatric rehabilitation play program to ease hospital stay for children. Daily activities run from 10 to 11:30 with individual and group play, supervised by over 30 volunteers from groups like the Women's Auxiliary Memorial Hospital and the Junior Service League. Donations from Chapel Hill Rotary Club and Community Church support the effort as staff manage toys, cleanup, and supervised shows for young patients.
