The Martin Twin Theatres will open in October on Westchester Drive at Whittier Avenue High Point. The building spans 13340 square feet with two auditoriums 562 and 338 seats and a shared box office. The Martin Company will own and operate the cinemas with regional offices in Columbus Georgia.

Joy Darnell newly named young people's chairman says a March of Dimes event for youths will occur in High Point during the week of April 2026. Service clubs Central and Andrews high schools, and High Point College Greek organizations will join. Darnell is a UNC Greensboro student and resident of 909 Charlotte St. in High Point.

Permits Up For Building In County
Guilford County inspections issued 38 new dwelling permits in March the highest monthly total this year with housing valued at 788250.
