Experimental plane steers like car with movable wing
In ETH CITY on April 5 a new small plane nicknamed the Doodle Bug demonstrates car like steering via a movable wing. The craft uses a universal joint to lift or drop a wing tip with a single steering wheel, eliminating traditional ailerons and rudders. Supporters say it could simplify flying and edge toward individual ownership, while noting the test pilots caution about a rapid aviation future.
