Tot Escapes Serious Injury In Accident
A five person list of minor and slight injuries from separate weekend traffic incidents. David Armstrong Hill, 2, Granville Street, escaped with minor bruises after being struck by a car while riding a toy in the Springfield Town Houses driveway. Timothy Edward Suits, 19, claimed sun glare caused a failure to stop. Other drivers include Terry Lee Bryant, 18, and Walter Clifton Chapman, 17, with various in road incidents and a citation for improper equipment and speeding. Clyde Reynolds Haney, 48, and William Fair, 63, were involved in a second collision on Old Greensboro Road near Deep River Road with minor injuries.

Woman Seeks Calf Payment From County After Dogs Kill Calf
ASHEBORO An Archdale woman, Nancy Finch, asked Randolph County Commissioners to reimburse $75 for a calf she says died Saturday morning after being attacked by a pack of hounds from two nearby housing developments. A storage room at Pointer Drive-In Theatre 613 Greensboro Rd was damaged by fire about 12 40 a m. Firemen list probable cause as generator sparks igniting combustibles. The room and contents were damaged. Earlier, at 108 Oakwood Ct a mattress caught fire and was moved to the yard before firefighters arrived.
