Bread in the classroom delights Northwood students
A second grade class taught by Mrs. Kei Nelson at Northwood School conducted a bread making unit tied to Pat A Cake Baker's Man. Thirty two students smeared with flour reenacted the bakery process, with a mill and bakery trip shown on a bulletin board and related measurements, vocabulary and displays. The project extends over four weeks with strong student interest and teacher initiative.
