Farm Women Brighten Lamps and Share Kitchen Upgrades
In Iredell County the Home Demonstration Club members lightened and brightened lamps with plastic fabric and paper shades. Members like Mrs. Dwight Goforth and Mrs. George McAuley shared patterns and plans, while Mrs. Best and others noted sliding kitchen cabinet doors and features aiding storage. Halifax County clubs serve community meals and fund clubhouse upkeep, illustrating the broader rural extension role.
