Temperatures range from mid 60s to around 60 to 63 in North Carolina and the 60s along the South Carolina coast, with cooler nights near 38 to 53. The outlook calls for near normal temperatures with small daily changes through the period.

Ramsey Smith 8 went missing during a hiking trip in the Bat Cave hills near Asheville. A 75 member search party including his parents searched until he emerged at a picnic grounds. The Bat Cave volunteer fire department led the search and Ramsey was returned unharmed.
Four white girls from Ohio Wesleyan University Delaware Ohio arrive at Bennett College Greensboro for a two week program to exchange education ideas. Bennett College president Dr Willa B Player says the move is a coordinated effort of the two Methodist affiliated colleges to stimulate student thinking and offer further study opportunities. Bennett previously hosted Bennett students at Wesleyan this year.
