Parker Receives 12 Month Sentence For Liquor Sale
Mr Parker, who runs a restaurant next to the Central Hotel, was arraigned before Recorder Russell for selling liquor. He was sentenced to 12 months on the roads of Gaston county in one case, with bond set at 300 dollars for each case. The trial drew a crowded mayor’s office and aldermen, and Parker fainted twice. The case against Marshall Cling for retailing is set for the 27th.
