Shuford Chapter of the UDC met with Mrs. Menzies, welcomed Mrs. Alice Harbin, and discussed budget and plans for Fair week and the State Convention, with Mrs. Royster presiding. Dinner concluded with ice cream and cake.
Mexico City September 28 pacification committee sails to nearest point for talks between Carranza and Villa to halt hostilities and form an agreement. Delegates aim to remove a disruptive faction and press for peace. El Paso says no concrete army actions yet as both sides prep and move toward potential engagement.
