Four creamery routes in Iredell feed cream to Hickory with shipments starting December 10 on three routes and December 15 on the fourth. Through January 1st, 1,814 pounds of butter fat sold at 34 1/2 cents per pound brought $616.76, equating to roughly 28 cents per pound for batter according to the creamery people.

Mrs Norris Dies After Illness At Langiwe Satay
Norris dies at home in Langiwe Satay after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon led by Rev W N Cook, with burial at Arney's Chapel cemetery. She was 24, daughter of Mr and Mrs J B Johnson, wife of a husband and mother of one, and a devoted Baptist church member.

Fireman killed in Southern train wreck near Davidson
Southern passenger train No. 1 wrecked within 200 yards of Davidson station last night at 8:30. Fireman Avery H. Wilson of Charlotte died. Engineer Jonah E. Curlee of Charlotte was severely burned and died later at Presbyterian Hospital. Captain Claude Morrison, conductor, led rescue as the front cab burned. Passengers in rear coaches were unharmed. officials noted the incident may have been caused by a spreading rail.
