Effie Houck Dead at Highland Home
Effie Houck died last Friday morning at Dr Long's Sanitarium in Statesville after early Friday return. Buried Sunday at Miller's Church with funeral by Rev J B Barb. She was a longtime Miller's Church member and Sunday School teacher and is survived by one brother and four sisters. The community mourns her loss as a faithful churchwoman and teacher.

Death of Mrs Hattie Rhodes Rowe Noted Lincoln County Faithful
Mrs Hattie Rhodes Rowe aged 72 years with 2 months and 26 days died after a long illness. Born October 12, 1842, she was in Trinity Lutheran Church before joining Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in this city. She married Andrew Rowe in April 1877 and had four children, two sons and two daughters. The husband and one daughter had predeceased her. Funeral services were conducted by Rev J H Wannemacher from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Three children and two grandchildren mourn her passing along with many relatives and friends.
