Hickory and Lenoir tie in high school debate
In Hub Theatre Friday night skort high school represented by Ralph J. Shell and Ewart W. Huffman won the decision over Lenoir high school’s Tom Wren and Moses Harshaw. The affirmative favored subsidizing a merchant marine in foreign trade, while Lenoir held the negative. Judges from the city and region declared an even break between the two schools, with potential Chapel Hill trip dependent on future results.
