John Elder Men’s Bible Class Lyceum Plan at Derry Church
The John Elder Men’s Bible Class of Derry Presbyterian plans a Lyceum Course for the coming winter in Hershey. Four numbers include the Fine Arts Quartet on November 4 with vocal soloists and a Spanish program, the Zandorff entertainers Abel Lindorff and Florence Zander on November 25, the Hipple Concert Company on January 6 with varied instrumental pieces, and the Clark-French Company on February 22 with musical impersonations and humor. The class counts 25 members led by Rev. R. H. Taylor and seeks community support for these programs.

Despite artificial respiration and Dr M L Hershey’s aid the victim could not be revived. Survived by parents Mr and Mrs Sol Balsbaugh a brother and three sisters. Funeral at Swatara home Wednesday at 1 00 p m and burial at Balsbaugh church Hershey.

Flames Destroy Large Barn On Witmer Farm
A daytime fire destroyed the large barn at Samuel T. Witmer’s model dairy farm one mile north of Union Deposit. Loss is estimated at 15000 dollars as grain stood in the barn. Firemen saved the house but the barn could not be saved. Livestock was moved to fields earlier, no pigs lost.
