Hershey High School overwhelmed Hummelstown 18 to 0 on a Saturday, opening the home season with strong aerials to Tinney and Leithiser and line plunges from Magrini and Hitz. Nye and Ebersole played well for Hummelstown as Magrini scored twice and Hitz once. Next week Hershey travels to Steelton for a test against the Steelton reserves.

Trailing Arbutus Found by Hikers Near Hershey
Harrisburg Natural History Society members hiked from Hummelstown to inspect a rare prostrate juniper three miles south of Hershey. The circle made by the ends reaches about forty feet, unusual for the species in this state, and a blooming spray of trailing arbutus was also found on the Sand Hills.

John L. Phillips dies at 74 in Lebanon home
John L. Phillips of 482 North Eleventh street Lebanon died at his home Sunday after a five week illness from yellow jaundice. He was 74 and lived with daughter Mrs. Harry Heilman. Survived by son Dr H W Phillips, two brothers Henry and William, sister Mrs John Brandt, and a widow of the Myatic Chain. He worked 18 years as a motor man on the Reading Transit line and recently for a local department store.
