Patrolman Byrne Injured In Auto Crash Near Union Deposit
Highway Patrol recruit P J Byrne at the Pennsylvania State Police Training School sustained a broken left leg and body bruises when struck by a car along the road to Union Deposit. He lay unconscious until found about 8 40 oclock by fellow troopers and was taken to Hershey Hospital. Byrne arrived from Greensburg three weeks ago for training prior to patrol service.
