The Red Cross explains that lapsed Soldiers Insurance can be reinstated within eighteen months after discharge by paying the month of lapse and the month of reinstatement premiums. Reinstatement requires one month's premium for the lapsed term and the first on converted insurance, with health and examination requirements if reinstatement occurs after the initial eighteen months.

Navy pay rise urged by naval leaders in naval hearing
