Hershey High School presents the musical Bimbo at Hershey Park Theatre on Thursday and Friday evenings. The production features a jungle island plot with a camera-wielding producer mistaken for a governor and a large cast of named characters and tours, with multiple musical numbers and dance ensembles.
The East Pennsylvania Conference United Brethren in Christ met September 24 to 28 at Avon U B Church. Bishop W M Bell presided and delivered the keynote on spiritual life. Licenses to preach were granted to six, two elders were ordained, and Rev S C Enck reelected superintendent. Treasurer I R Engle reported strong finances and a net member gain of 83. Women’s Missionary Association offered greetings. A gold purse was presented to Bishop Bell.
On Sunday noon Bishop Bell announced assignments for this territory. The Hershey football team travels to Highspire for the opening game on Saturday October 4 to clash with the Yellowjackets. Star players including Shea E Zimmerman and Putt join a squad featuring Hershey fans and players from Hummelstown and Palmyra as manager Magrini schedules a heavy slate including Lancaster Eighth Ward Williamsport Columbia Lebanon Lottery Bressler and more. The local club resumes play October 18 at Park Field against Highspire and appeals for community support.

Bids for constructing a road from Unicorn via Goshen Akefield and New Texas to a Meadline point open Tuesday October 14.
