W E Tobias of the Hershey Store reports a Perry County hunting trip with 12 rabbits 5 squirrels and 2 pheasants. Other items include social visits from Mrs E S Michener Duncannon and various local residents with notices of sewing sales lost items and sales ads.
The State Police beat the Motor Patrol 15 to 6 after a 0–0 halftime stalemate on the park field. Sorok ran in two touchdowns and Hamm added a field goal, with Deibler scoring late to prevent a shutout. Hawkins had a notable thirty yard run after a pass.
A Hallowe'en party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Gordon Jr. on Areba Avenue in honor of Velva Smith. Guests included Grace Gordon Lydia West Catherine Strohm Lydia Rhoads and others with dancing and games as the main activities.
Hershey High School basketball quiets for early practice as they brace for the November 29 opener against Lititz High. Coach Doug Lass guides a hopeful squad including Russ Tinny Aungst Stover Hummer Balsbaugh Gress Holstein Purcell Strine and Miller as they push to earn varsity spots and restore last year’s fast team reputation.
At a Monday evening Hershey Men's Club meeting the Monarchs reorganized for the 1924 25 season. The team will include Fasnacht Dissinger Binich Magrint Leithiser Oliver SE Von Neida Reese Bauch and will practice three times weekly until December. The Monarchy aims for a fast working quintet and to retain the town’s long standing lead in basketball.
The funeral of Mrs. Mary Finn of Philadelphia who died after several weeks illness at Hershey Hospital last Tuesday was held Friday morning at St. Joan of Arc Church. Rev Phelan conducted the service and burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery Lancaster. She is survived by one daughter Mia, William Hyland and two grandchildren Dorothy and Robert Hyland.
The funeral for Jacob Logan was held Monday with a brief home service and a main service at the Chamber Oui United Brethren Church led by Revs. O. G. Romy and HL Hotter of Hershey. Burial followed at the Serb opposite the church. He was 64 years 6 months 28 days. Survived by a sister and a brother.
The family of Mrs. Mary Strine expresses sincere thanks to relatives and friends for kindness shown during the death of her brother Jacob Logan.
The Epworth League of Hummels Town M E Church presents a Sunday evening program on Nov 16 starting at 6:30. Palmyra quartette and two Carlisle musicians Corporal Arthur Leibrum and Sergeant Bryce Mayes will perform string music. Free admission. Mr. Sanders of Palmyra will speak.
The Faithful Workers' Bible Class of the First United Brethren Sunday School will hold a bazaar at the Hershey Market House on Saturday November 15 all day. Art and needlework baked goods and home made candies will be on sale.

Local schools observed Armistice Day by declaring a holiday and postponing activities. Colds and sore throats abounded among pupils and teachers with as many as four teachers out in a single day. A Thanksgiving recess closes schools on Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th.
A public sale of household goods is planned for Saturday afternoon at Cross Roads on West Main Street in Palmyra.
Rod La Rocque and Jacqueline Logan star in the Paramount film Code of the Sea shown at Hershey Central Theatre on Thursday November 13. Directed by Victor Fleming, the exterior heavy water shot drama adapts a Byron Morgan screen story about a coward's regeneration and features a strong cast and sea settings.
Paramount's The Confidence Man with Thomas Meighan screens at Hershey Central Theatre on Saturday night November 15 at 7 45. Meighan plays Dan Corvan a master crook who woos an old sucker Queritt and a country girl while posing as a philanthropist before planning to skip town. Virginia Valli co stars in the crook romance with punchy moments.
Lincoln J. Carter writes another Fox feature The Cyclone Rider a 1925 high speed melodrama booked at Hershey Central Theatre on Tuesday November 18 at 730. It features Reed Howes as Jim Kent Alma Bennett as the female lead and a dazzling automobile race to thrill audiences.

The Salem Reformed Church will hold a Christian Endeavor service on Sunday November 23 at 2 00 pm. W G Hoopes state Christian Endeavor president will be the principal speaker and an elaborate program will be rendered inviting all to attend. Salem Reformed Church lists Sunday School 9 am and a Home Mission Day program with Junior C E and Christian Endeavor at 6 30 led by Miss Edna Risser. Campbelltown U B Church proclaims 7 30 pm preaching and 10 30 am women’s meeting with a Tuesday prayer meeting on Nov 18 at 7 30 pm.
A November 20 meeting at 7 30 p m with Ivan L Mease aims to organize an Organized Adult Bible Class Federation for District No 5 covering Hershey Union Deposit and nearby areas. Pastors and three delegates from each class are urged to attend. A follow up meeting in Hershey is planned for December 10 with H C Cridland.
On Thursday evening November 13 a musical entertainment will be presented at the United Brethren Church in Union Deposit. S. W. Rauch, a noted musician and reader, will perform a varied program. Everyone is invited to attend.
