Crowd joins Hershey Park for Decoration Day events in Convention Hall with a 10 o clock concert by Hershey Boy Scouts Band, 10 45 to 12 school exercises and a patriotic address by Dr. W L Peters of Philadelphia. At 1 o clock an open air concert by Tyrells Military Band of Lebanon followed by the showing of Kaiser the Beast of Berlin.
A wartime appeal urges Americans to donate generously to the Red Cross to support soldiers overseas and aid civilians. It frames giving as a duty and ties contributions to ending the merciless enemy and safeguarding civilization.
Italian community of Hershey and vicinity plans a parade Friday May 24 1918 to mark Italy entering the war Ralph Fiore named chief marshal with the Hershey band to follow Heavily involved in Liberty Loan Red Cross and War Stamp drives the group aims for 7 PM start and broad participation in honor of Italy's sacrifices and alliance with the United States
The Hershey Mothers Club will hold its regular monthly meeting on Friday evening May 31 at Hershey High School. A large attendance is requested.
