The Derry Church Township High School commencement at Hershey Park Theater featured five graduates delivering orations. Board president A. B. Shenk presented diplomas with Rev. E. A. Sharp offering the invocation and Prof. H. H. Shenk delivering the keynote on The Survival of the Fittest. About 300 to 400 attendees heard salutatorian Paul W. Miller discuss Theodore Roosevelt and the people’s faith in his leadership.
