Hershey Golf Scene Expands Amateur Team Plans
Hershey strengthens golf interest with more players on the private mansion grounds course now in splendid condition. Edward Dearie plans an amateur Hershey team for intercity fall matches. A. Boyd Hamilton backs the grounds plan and Dearie will compete June 16 in the National Professional Championship at Minnedaka, St. Paul, aiming high in a large field with ten money prizes from 300 to 10.

The Hershey Store Company Employes Association will hold a banquet at the Garrett House in Elizabethtown next Wednesday evening May 24. A special car will convey guests to and from Hershey and Palmyra residents will ride home on the same car. This is the first event of its kind for the organization led by President D. Clark and Vice President R. F. Hull with Miss Anna Lentz as secretary and John R. Zoll as treasurer.

Members of the Church of the Brethren from Dauphin and Lebanon counties attended the Spring Love Feast at Henry's Meeting house near Hershey. Over 300 took communion led by Rev. Levi Mohler of Elizabethtown. Eight speakers gave fifteen minute sermons and Sunday School drew 300 for dinner with Rev. Amos Koons and John Aungst directing services.

Levi Zimmerman Dies at 84 in Derry Church Area
Levi Zimmerman aged 84 died Monday morning at 2 15 after a nine week bout with a severe cold and pneumonia. A lifelong Derry Church resident, he is survived by his wife Elizabeth and 6 children including Mrs. John Houtz and A C Zimmerman. Funeral Friday at 9 from his home with services at St. John’s Lutheran Palmyra. Burial in Evergreen Annville. He owned stores in Derry Church and Bindnagles, worked on Union Canal, witnessed transport evolution, and aided Hershey land sales.
