Hershey Minstrels Set for April 23 Show at High School

The Hershey Minstrels will present a Friday April 23 performance in the Hershey High School auditorium. Directed by Paul J. Ruf John F. Snavely and Walter Priestley the show features tuneful numbers witty acting and vocal harmony. Rehearsals occur Mondays at 7 30 p m with about twenty five men in attendance.

Nissly Co. Officers Say Records Were Burned by Mistake

In a Lancaster bankruptcy hearing creditors sought a trustee for the Nissly Swiss Chocolate Co. John Hertzler was named trustee. E J Nissly and H Roy Nissly testified that records were burned in error and dividends were paid from personal funds. They claimed no deception and said the stock records were destroyed by an employee to be a mistake. The session drew nearly nine dozen lawyers amid complex technical arguments.

Lois Gilman Wins Oratorical Contest

Lois Gilman won the elimination contest in the National Oratorical Contest on March 23. Samuel O. Curry took second place, with W. Richard Sponangle and Anna Martin following.
