American Legion Holds Hershey Park Reunion and Flag Pole Dedication
The American Legion Posts of Central Pennsylvania held a Sunday reunion at Hershey Park with about 1000 attendees. The event featured the dedication of a flag pole donated by Hershey, presented by J Hoy of Harrisburg Post and accepted by S. Snyder, followed by remarks from leaders Wm Healey and E Shannon and a concert by the Harrisburg Legion Band. Photographs of the dedication were available at Hershey Studio for 6 cents each.

Death of George W. McCafferty of Hershey
George W. McCafferty of Hoy died June 19 at 38 Cocoa Avenue after a week of illness. Aged 61 years and four days, he was born in Perry County and worked 18 years for the Chocolate Company in Hershey, most recently in the Steel Roll department. Burial was June 22 at United Brethren Cemetery Duncannon. survivors include his widow and five children, two Harrisburg sisters, and funeral director Daniel Bordiemay of Palmyra.
