Wolf Cubs Hike to Sand Hills
The Wolf Cubs group led by Rev. Paul M Kinporls of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church spent an all day hike to the Sand Hills last Friday. They left the church at 11 40 am, hiked four miles, then ate a mothers prepared meal. After lunch they played capture the flag with David Gilman captaining the winning side in the second game. Rev Rmnports served as umpire. The boys returned home hopeful for another outdoor day.

Hershey was defeated by Strawbridge & Clothier nine of Philadelphia 11 to 6 on a Saturday in Philadelphia. Strawbridge jumped to an early lead with four runs in the first inning, keyed by Diemer on base and hits from McNeal Sphorer and Henrich. McNeal homered and Hershey scored once in the second on Smith's walk and a hit by J Smith. From then until the seventh Hershey failed to score, and Strawbridge added two in the ninth. McNeal went 4 for 4 for Strawbridge, while Miller Ream J Smith Storm each had four hits for Hershey.

State Troopers Hold Inter-troop Meet Championship
