Marburger's Orchestra to Play Hershey Dance June 22

Harvey Marburger's Orchestra will perform at the Hershey Dance Pavilion on Monday June 22 with proceeds benefiting the American Legion Endowment Fund. Tickets cost 50 cents for ladies and 75 cents for gentlemen, with a strong local push to support the Legion cause.

Sousa Band to Open July 4 Tour at Hershey Park Hall

Vacation Bible School Opens With 106 Pupils Enrolled

The Community Vacation Bible School began Monday June 15 for a four week session in the public school building from 8 30 to 11 00 a m. Enrollment reaches 106 pupils, about twenty more than last year. Teachers Miss Kathryn Weltmer Mrs Wm J Runkle Miss Bertha Belser and Rev A G Nye guide kindergarten to older students through Bible stories missionary tales and memory work. Rev Nye leads a course called Bible Heroes for the older pupils. Community praises the strong turnout.

Washington Trip a Great Success

The graduating class returned from a four day sightseeing tour in Washington DC. They visited the New National Museum Congressional Library National Capitol Pan American Union Corcoran Gallery Mt Vernon Arlington National Zoo Bureau of Engraving and Printing Washington Monument Lincoln Memorial White House and a handshake with President Coolidge. Some classmates saw a big league game and toured Navy Yard and the Mayflower. The trip was described as the four happiest and most eventful days of their high school career.
