The Hershey Chocolate Company's printing department has expanded since the first press. It now includes two Miehle cylinder presses, a large Seybold bossing press, a vacuum bronzing machine, and one of the latest improved models.

Hershey Chocolate Company expands printing plant
For months the plant runs day and night to supply wrappers. To meet rising demand Hershey Chocolate Company orders additional machinery including a Miehle and embossing presses, vacuum bronzing machines, and a Seybold cutting machine. The department will become one of the largest in Central Pennsylvania with 75 million postal cards and 250 million wrappers produced last year. Jos Hills, formerly with Dayton printing, becomes department superintendent with Claude Karg as assistant.
