A colony of beavers from the Allegheny Mountains repaired the 200 foot wide Blackwell Dam on Mosquito Creek. The dam, four to ten feet deep, protects the trout stream in winter and low water, astonishing Dale Hunting Club members and local fishermen.

Let contract for test road rock in Dauphin County
The Kentucky Rock Asphalt Company of Louisville received a contract from Dauphin County commissioners for 100 tons of rock asphalt at 15.37 dollars per ton. The material will be used on the Elizabethville Berrysburg highway to build the first of two test sections on the hill by the brick church two miles south of Berrysburg.
