Palmyra man accused of swindling farmers
H. S. Bomberger of Palmyra was arrested in Susquehanna and arraigned on charges of obtaining money under false pretenses. He and other farmers from at least forty nine counties claim he deceived them through a State Cattlemen’s Protective Association scheme, collecting up to $25 from members and selling fake registered cattle. He faces multiple counts as prosecutors prepare to bring more than one hundred farmers to court.
